Certified Medical Assistant
Our growing Dermatology practice is looking for an experienced team member who thrives on delivering an exceptional experience to our patients. We are looking for an experienced, conscientious, dependable, and friendly Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to add to our team.
The individual in this role is expected to perform a variety of back-office tasks and patient care responsibilities that fall within the CMA scope of practice.
To ensure smooth patient and workflow within the clinic, CMA duties may include but are not limited to: coordinating the rooming and patient flow, pre-visit preparation, assisting with patient visit, post-visit duties, etc. Measuring patient vital signs, injections, minor excisions, biopsies, assisting in cosmetic procedures and lasers, informing providers of schedule changes that impact clinic flow, assisting with front office activities, preforming various scheduling tasks, and reporting test results as directed by the provider.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Candidate must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting Program, with a Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant Certification. (CMA).
*Experience in Dermatology, Gynecology, Plastic Surgery, Urgent Care, or closely related field is highly preferred.
*Knowledge of third-party payer requirements.
*Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
*Tech savvy and skilled at using a PC/Tablet (iPad).
*Experienced with EMR (EMA – Modernizing Medicine experience a plus!)
*Experienced with Practice Management Software (AdvancedMD is a plus!)
*Knowledge in sterilizing instruments.
*Ability to assist in minor surgeries, such as excisions and biopsies.
*Eager to learn new skills and an ability to adhere to standard protocols.
*Professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
*Willing to pull your weight and be a part of a team; and able to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary.
*Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
*Must be punctual, dependable and have reliable transportation.
Our clinic is conveniently located on First Hill in Seattle. Position is 40 hours/week. We offer competitive pay and benefits start after 90 days of continuous employment (full medical, dental and vision coverage).

All patients are required to wear a mask for their entire visit. Our Front Desk staff screens and takes the temperature of each person entering our suite. Our CMA's wear a mask/shield when seeing patients. Front Desk is equipped with safety barriers.
