About Spectrum Dermatology of Seattle:

Established in 2017 in downtown Seattle, we are a growing, full-service dermatology clinic with three medical providers and two cosmetic providers, offering a full range of both medical and cosmetic dermatology services to a diverse clientele. With some of the most experienced and expert medical professionals in the region, we specialize in medical dermatology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and cosmetic dermatology including injectables and fillers, laser treatments, PRPFM, chemical peels, microneedling and more. We focus on providing excellent care and an exceptional patient experience, with compassion and integrity.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Master Aesthetician with exceptional clinical skills and dedication to customer service to provide a range of the highest level medical aesthetics services as directed and overseen by our medical director, Dr. Paula Zook, and working collaboratively with our other cosmetic practitioners.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Comprehensive Skin Consultations: Conduct thorough skin consultations considering both medical and cosmetic factors, and prepare treatment plans addressing patient concerns.
  • Advanced Aesthetic Treatments: Perform medical aesthetic services such as Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Genius, Clarity, LaseMD, and Spectra laser treatments.
  • Product Expertise: Stay current on the latest medical-grade skin care products and technology through continuous training; recommend and build personalized treatment plans and home care regimens for patients with both in-house prescription and retail products.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure proper skin care approaches for specific medical conditions and concerns.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on skin care routines and the benefits of all medical aesthetic treatments provided.
  • Maintain Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to all sanitization and safety protocols, to ensure a clean and professional treatment environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid license to practice as a Master Aesthetician in the state of Washington.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an advanced aesthetician, ideally in a clinical or medical setting. Proficiency in advanced treatments such as laser hair removal, vascular laser, fractionated resurfacing laser and Nd:YAG laser, microneedling, RF microneedling, and chemical peels. We will provide training on our specific devices.
  • Extensive understanding of skin care techniques, skin care products, industry practices and best standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism, with the ability to build strong, long-term patient relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively with medical professionals in a team oriented, healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge and adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations in a medical environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, reach, and stand repeatedly and for prolonged periods when performing procedures
  • Ability to hand-operate machinery (medical devices) with precision repeatedly and for prolonged periods
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Good visual acuity (with correction OK), color vision and depth perception
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs

Patient Care Coordinator

Position Summary

Spectrum Dermatology of Seattle provides medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services all within one convenient location. Our Practice focuses on a high-quality patient experience with exceptional and customized care. As our Patient Care Coordinator, you will be one of the first to meet our patients, which makes your role a vital part of our practice. We strive to build personalized and long-term relationships which is directly tied to the success of your interactions. This position contributes to maintaining that focus by carrying out daily responsibilities with care, respect and personable encounters with our patients and fellow team members.

Patient Care Coordinator daily tasks will include:

  • Complete patient registration
  • Check patients in and out with care and kindness
  • Answer phone calls and log patient communications into clinic EMR
  • Communicate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Run payment transactions for patient balances and products
  • Scan and upload documents into clinic EMR system

Desired qualifications:

  • HIPAA certified/knowledgeable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic medical terminology

Job Type: Full-time (On-Site Only)

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift between 7:00AM-5:00PM

Spectrum Dermatology of Seattle is a vibrant, growing medical and cosmetic dermatology practice, looking for two full-time Medical Assistants to join our exceptional team of dedicated and dynamic individuals. Our medical assistants are essential to patient care, and we are seeking motivated, detail-oriented, teachable individuals with excellent communication skills and demonstrated professionalism, with a real interest in dermatology.

Job Description Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) role is essential to the efficiency of back-office workflow and overall excellence of patient care. In this role, you will:

  • Initiate patient visits via our electronic health record system (EMA)
  • Collect, document, and update patient medical/surgical/family history/medications/allergies
  • Prepare patient and room for exam and minor surgery, i.e. excision/biopsy/ED&C, and assist during procedures
  • Prepare patient and room for cosmetic procedures, i.e., laser and/or injections, and assist during procedures
  • Scibe for our providers
  • Communicate with patients regarding test results, pre/post care, Rx concerns
  • Transmit path and lab orders
  • Process prescription refills
  • Stock and organize patient exam rooms

Desired qualifications:

  • Washington State MA certification
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Medical assisting 1 plus years (preferred)

This is a fast-paced job, and you should be prepared for multitasking, working efficiently, taking initiative, working well as a member of a team, and learning a lot. We have had many of our former MAs go on to professional careers in healthcare, and have found their time with us to be an excellent foundation for those next steps to medical or PA school. Applicants with a science degree who plan to go on to medical or PA school, but who lack experience as an MA, will be considered based on the strength of the candidate.
